This is the garden Carolyn and I are growing this year. She wanted to plant flowers and herbs in my vegetables. Rather than argue about how many vegetables that would displace, I expanded the garden by building another terrace with stones I found on the farm.

Only 16% of Americans support arming Israel without restrictions. So what is Congress doing? Burying a provision in the defense bill that would give Israel more military integration than any NATO ally. We must strip Section 224 from the Pentagon budget.

84% of Americans, Bernie Sanders, and Thomas Massie agree. Don’t arm Israel unconditionally. Also, don’t merge our military technology and supply chains with Israel’s… or any other country’s. I’ve submitted an amendment to strip section 224 (retitled section 219) from the NDAA.

There are 2 ways this can get a vote! 1) 4 Democrats and 3 Republicans on Rules Committee take a stand. or 2) Any 6 Republicans in the whole House withhold their votes for “the Rule” next week unless this amdt is allowed a vote in that Rule. (Dems always vote no on the Rule)

Section 219 (was 224) of the NDAA contains a dangerous provision to integrate our military tech with Israel’s. @RepRoKhanna & I submitted an amendment to strike 219. I included the Rules Committee roster here; 7 of 13 members must agree in order for our amendment to get a vote.

$500 per vote. That’s what the Israeli lobby spent to beat me, and they still couldn’t do it with factual ads, or even fake ads based on policy. They ran with personal lies and AI videos to convince elderly voters I was sleeping with Ilhan Omar and AOC at the same time.

🚨Speaker Mike Johnson defended shredding the 4th Amendment and passing FISA warrantless surveillance after a top-secret briefing with the NSA, CIA, FBI, DNI and DOJ. Well, @RepThomasMassie was in the same SCIF as Speaker Johnson, and he's fed up with the lying. Massie says there was NOT ONE EXAMPLE spying on Americans without a warrant was able to prevent terrorism. It's all a scam. Shame on Republicans who fall for it. #SCIFGATE

Hopefully, @TPUSA is still opposed to warrantless spying. A vote to extend the unconstitutional FISA 702 program *without warrants* will likely happen today in the House. I’ll vote No.

Few things in Washington are more predictable than Congress renewing surveillance powers and promising to reform them later. I spoke on the House floor against the “temporary” clean reauthorization of the unconstitutional FISA 702 program.

Here we go again; the House is going to debate a clean reauthorization of the unconstitutional FISA 702 program tonight. This program is used to surveil Americans without a warrant. I’ll be joining the @cspan debate on the floor in the next hour… in opposition to this madness.

I didn’t realize this would be posted, but I’m glad it was. Two hours before I gave my speech honoring the brave sailors on the USS Liberty, I met with about a dozen of them in my office and asked how I could best represent them and those who had perished.

Thank you to the survivors of the USS Liberty for traveling to Washington DC on the 59th anniversary of the attack. Your courage to express the facts is the reason the tragedy of the USS Liberty will not be forgotten. It was an honor to host you and to speak on your behalf.

59 years ago today, Israel attacked the USS Liberty in international waters. 34 crew members were killed and 174 were wounded by the IDF. Today, I spoke on the House floor to honor the fallen and to recognize the survivors who were present in the gallery.

FISA 702 is the authority for surveillance on foreign soil—the core of all US security. A libertarian demand to make SecWar get approval from liberal DC judges (the ones who targeted Trump) is madness. No conservative aim is ever served through subservience to leftist DC judges.

HR4332 was the 1986 bill that banned the manufacture of machine guns for civilians. It’s also the name of a series of Uzi submachine guns hastily registered by Group Industries of Louisville, KY just before the ban went into effect. Here’s one in the KY Military Museum.

Congress has the exclusive authority under the Constitution to declare war and authorize the use of force. The War Powers Act of 1973 delegates some of that authority to the president for a limited period of time. That authority has expired, and my support of this resolution tonight is consistent with my belief that it is time for Congress to decide the scope of the mission and the appropriate limits on the use of force in Iran.

Thank you @RepTomBarrett for respecting the Constitution.

"You're f****** crazy. You'd be in prison if it weren't for me. I'm saving your a***. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this." That's what a U.S. official tells Axios President Trump unloaded on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a heated phone call over Israel's military actions in Lebanon. Trump was reportedly furious that Israel's moves risked blowing up U.S. diplomatic efforts in the region, at one point also asking Netanyahu: "What the f*** are you doing?"

It’s all talk. Just withhold foreign aid to Israel for a month and they’ll stop bombing their neighbors - instant peace, the Strait of Hormuz can be opened, and gas drops $2 a gallon. Israel has been, and continues to be, the biggest welfare recipient from American tax payers.

There’s a disturbing trend in Congress to grant immunity from state civil lawsuits to various products such as pharmaceuticals, data centers & pesticides. I think this violates the 7th Amdt, but ironically the 7th is the only enumerated right not yet incorporated to the states.
